Welcome to the Drifter’s Escape…
…and goodbye to “A Rumble in Heaven”. Basically, I was really sick of shrinking my pictures down to 450 pixels in width. I decided to take a page out of the book of my good friend Kal, and aim for a new web design that was clean and easy to follow. I also got rid of the stupid Google ads; I don’t know what I was thinking of when I put them on my site. I did keep the Google Analytics though, although I’m thinking about just dumping it.
I aimed for it to be easily readable in a 1024 x 768 screen, but it looks like it is a bit too wide. This will be corrected over the next few days. However, at least I can promise that it is the end of 450 pixel pictures decorating my front page.
For those wondering what the old page looked like, here’s a JPEG. (Same size as the original)

Ottawa investit dans la sécurité dans les transports urbains
Le gouvernement fédéral annonce l’investissement d’un premier montant de 37 millions $ ` la sécurité des systèmes de transports dans les centres urbains partout au Canada.
How is 37 million dollars supposed to secure transit routes from “terror” (which this is obviously there to fight)?
The very concept is ridiculous. What are you going to do with 37 million? How are you going to inspect each car that goes by, or check each bag on a bus? They cancelled a bunch of social programs, while running a surplus, for this?
Lexmark Printer not working well?
If you have one of those old E-Series lexmark printers and they aren’t loading paper properly, try increasing the paper size attribute – IE: Set it to “heavy” paper. This solved my problem (stupid piece of junk)
Pumpkin Scissors
Allow me to give this my highest recommendation. I haven’t enjoyed an anime this much in a long time.
For the record, Gespenst Jager means “Ghost Light Infantry”. One of the main characters is from the ‘nameless division’; specifically because they are not supposed to exist (suicide units contradict the military code in the show).
