We’re number 12!
I just googling my potential future boss, when I somehow found his blog. It is all in Japanese, but I did understand it. I also found something quite interesting there.
It turns out that my alma matter, McGill, is ranked #12 – ahead of even the mighty Todai. Is this pride I feel???
So, today I am supposed to hear back about my job interview.
Today I am supposed to hear back at any time about my interview.
I have NO idea how it will go. I’m actually quite worried about it, this is a job I really want and exactly the job path I have had going for the longest time. If I don’t get it, I don’t know what I’ll end up doing – probably starting a corporation and flipping houses or something.
God help me.

NY Cheese Cake: TTDHIJ Part 1
A week-long retrospective on things that I can not find in Japan starts with this; the delicious New York style cheese cake.

It isn’t so much that Cheesecake is unavailable; it is actually a difference in scale. Examine this cake I purchased in Sapporo several years back for a comparison:

Both this and the above cost approximately the same amount.
A black rain.

I always used to get depressed by the rain. I think it is the feeling of being trapped indoors by a force I could not control. I only can thank God that I don’t feel like that here. (It helps that the rain isn’t always freezing cold).
