About Bhutto
There are two common misconceptions involving Pakistan and Bhutto. Here is the reality of the situation
1) She was corrupt and probably deserved to be executed after a fair trial. The suicide bombing is an inevitable injustice, dwarfing the millions or billions she stole from the country. Inevitable because she could not have a fair trial. Pakistan is like Cardassia – the sentence is decided before the court case. If it was an everyday joe that shot her, I would probably pity him as he was just another powerless pawn. If pitying a murderer sounds strange, I remind you all that neither the writer nor the readers of this blog have any experience with being powerless.
2) There can be no justice in a country with no equality. Pakistanis are the first to admit that there are two distinct classes of people in Pakistan – the productive class (10% that keeps the country running) and underclass (the uneducated 90%). There can be no equality between the two, the concept is ridiculous. The role of the productive class is to elevate the underclass – a role their leaders have shamelessly abandoned in exchange for making a fast buck. This is the origin of the shame that goes with the label “Pakistani” – in general either you are an idiot or a crook.
The death of Bhutto is no tragedy. It is a black comedy.
I don’t know Jawaad… the one thing that my insignificant 33 years of existence have taught me about this mudball is that nothing is that black and white in politics. I don’t pretend to know what Bhutto is or isn’t guilty of– but is Musharraf really the better alternitive? Think of the many different ways the Liberals hosed back in the day. Now compared to Stephen harper’s special brand of douchebaggery which would you pick?

You call yourself a moderate person, condoning the execution of a woman accused of being corrupt. Nice jump in logic there!
