The Vehicons were an exercise in creating “Living Machines” for the Beast Machines series. Although I hated the designs at the time, I’ve grown to appreciate them with time.

Blastcharge and Obsidian

Transformers Vehicons Blastcharge Obsidian

Blastcharge and Obsidian are on the opposite ends of the spectrum, in terms of Beast Machines Vehicons. Obsidian is ultra pose-able and sleek. Blastcharge is like a fat American hamburger that fires missiles. I still can’t believe I actually like Blastcharge.

Classics Rodimus isn’t that great either, but he is a much more photogenic Transformer than Hot Shot. Strange, because they are both based on the same G1 toy.

Hot Shot

Hot Shot Transformers Cybertron robot

From Transformers: Cybertron, Hot Shot is the “Hot Rod” character of the series (They lost the rights to the Hot Rod name). I thought he was awesome at the time, but I have a much more dim view of this toy now. The legs barely bend and it is hard to do any really dynamic poses in robot mode. His vehicle mode is awesome though. FYI, I took a few pictures of him way back when I did some pics of Hot Rod/Rodimus.
