The iPad is the horrible Nintendo “Total lockdown” theory brought to proper computers.
I don’t look forward to a future where I can’t play around with my own machine. Is it too much to ask for?

After some more thinking, the device suddenly becomes far more interesting. 10 hours of constant use? With a decent RSS reader app, it would be the perfect device to keep me up to date on the train. Sign me up – potentially.

LICK MY ASS YOU DIRTY MUZLIM I LOVE THE iPAD
Well the iPad does sound gimmicky, not much multi tasking capability for something that was slated to replace laptop computers, at least the 499 price point for the base model seems fair compared to the other way out of whack prices they have for their other products such as the iMac. technically speaking, its just an enlarged iPod touch for the wifi version and an enlarged iPhone for the 3G version, minus the camera and earpiece. as for marketability, many consumers just flock to apple because they release a new product, although even internally its way outdated to replace laptops, people still are actually thinking of buying it. I mean it is a good idea and I think we see where apples compeitition is going to go with this but it could use a little more work, by just analyzing the current market and products, I think that more of these things are definitely going to come, maybe microsoft will lower the price on the microsoft surface, thatll really heat up the market. But for now, seems like we wont see anything with good functionality and proper battery life for a while, I estimate that in late 2011 or early 2012 some newer products with higher levels of functionality will grace the market. And it may be in 2013 that the product to replace the actual laptop computer might be seen in the market, well thats all I have to say about it, in short, good idea, bad OS, bad internals, good use of space for a super thin profile, we shall see how well it fares when the wifi models ship out late march and the 3G models ship out april.
Jake you are a big fag. iPad does suck, you would know this if you weren’t computer illiterate.
