If you are reading this, you have come to this site after trying to visit gooogle.ca.
An year or two back, I purchased a set of domains that had traffic going to them. I didn’t pay much attention because I was trying to get by in any way I could. It turns out there was a set of Google-related mis-spelling involved.
After my rental ended, I spent the money to buy one. I considered forwarding it directly to google, but I would prefer to offer some advice beforehand.
Here’s a few tips for browsing the web. Take them for what they are worth. They might save you time and money.
- Use the search bar in your browser instead. You can configure any of them to use Google, and you don’t have to worry about making a mistake and being directed to a site like this.
- Your search traffic is extremely valuable. A friend of mine told me that he could often make 3-4$ for a thousand visitors. The normal rate is about 5% of that. As a result, there are a lot of people who buy mis-spellings and re-direct you to places you’d rather not go. Some of these sites contain malware; be aware, and surf safely.
- FYI, You don’t have to pay money to get a good anti-malware scanner or anti-virus. Microsoft has a great one for free if you are on Windows (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/winfamily/defender/default.mspx). If you are on Ubuntu, you probably don’t have to worry about much.
I am not making any money off this page, nor am I making any money off that Google spelling error. Nor am I interested in leasing it out or renting it out (Unless Google wants it, in which case they are welcome to contact me). I do not collect statistics or information about visitors to my website, except for whatever the server does automatically.
Surf safely.
